Rosier Palais Royal® Meiviowit - Rosiers grimpants

The PALAIS ROYAL ® Meiviowit climbing rose has all the characteristics of the PIERRE DE RONSARD ® Meiviolin climbing rose, of which it is a natural color mutation. It is adorned with many beautiful old-fashioned roses 11 to 13 cm in diameter. The 80 to 100 petals that make up these sumptuous roses are squeezed into swirling quarters like the most beautiful old roses. Generally grouped by 2 to 5 flowers, the roses spread the same light fruity fragrance. The color remains the only difference: the petals are milky white enhanced by slight ocher to pink reflections around their edges. These ocher or pinkish nuances are clearly visible in cool and humid periods.

The flowering of the PALAIS ROYAL ® Meiviowit climbing rose is very repeat-flowering for a climbing rose. The waves of flowers follow one another at a regular rhythm from May-June until frost and one can count 4 to 5 blooms throughout the season.

Endowed with dense, vigorous and balanced vegetation, the PALAIS ROYAL ® Meiviowit climbing rose can easily reach 2 to 3 meters in height and cover an area of 8 to 12 m². The branches, both flexible and robust, are dressed in elegant glossy green foliage, an ideal backdrop to highlight the delicate complexion of the roses. The plant has very good disease resistance. Flowering will be more abundant if you take care to trellis its branches obliquely or horizontally.

The PALAIS ROYAL ® Meiviowit climbing rose is perfect for decorating a wall or a medium-sized trellis against which it can deploy its branches. It also gracefully adorns a column or an arch by wrapping its flexible branches around the structure.

The PALAIS ROYAL ® Meiviowit climbing rose can also be planted without support to grow it as a large shrub 1.50 m tall in all directions, which will be at ease in beds or hedges.

Size of climbing roses remontant
Means rose up a rose that blooms several times a year.
Climbing roses are usually trained against a wall, a pergola or a fence. It keeps the cut 5 to 6 branches principal, who will make up the limbs.
All the side shoots will be cut back to 5 or 6 eyes (30 to 40cm).
 
Essential tips for successful planting of your Roses :
If you already had roses in the same place, change the earth to a depth of 60 cm.
Choose an airy and sunny (at least 4 hours of sunlight), avoid the proximity of trees or northern exposure.
Make a hole 50 cm deep and make an organic manure (aged manure, or compost 2 years minimum age...)
Put a layer of good soil (10 cm) of vegetable added, if needed 1/3 good potting soil to prevent the roots come in direct contact with the manure.
Roses bare-root : do not leave the air if you do not plant immediately. Leave them in their original packaging in a cool place protected from frost, wind and heat. Beyond 8 days put-in gauge.
The day before planting, soak completely in the water : the roots and branches.
Re-cut the roots before planting.
Place the rose bush and then fill in with soil, packing firmly with the foot to the ground all around the roots.
Rose bushes in clods : They can be stored for several days at the expense "off-gel" before planting. Remove the plastic bag, soak 1 to 2 hours the root ball in a bucket of water and plant the root ball, leaving the film around (biodegradable).
Roses in pots : Plant the rose with its root ball by watering thoroughly at planting.
Watering : Water thoroughly (8 to 10 L per rose) for planting.
When the ground is set, return of the land above the grafting point in order to avoid that the rose never dries out by the wind and from freezing in the winter.
The 1era year regular watering 1 x per week depending on the weather.
SIZE : Do not resize, not the branches when planting fall. For a planting of spring re-cut the branches from the end of march.
Winter Protection : Buttez your rose bushes in November, with the earth in 15 cm of height of branches to protect them from the cold weather.
At the beginning of march, remove the hump. Depending on your region and the type of rose, from late February to early April, remember to resize your rose bushes.
DO NOT PUT MULCH AROUND THE ROSES DURING THE 3 MONTHS AFTER PLANTING.
